I cannot tell you how amazing this first year of blogging has been. It has been a true blessing in finding my voice and being able to establish a platform to share my story and empower other women. Watching your blog community develop and grow is so humbling, and I am excited to help others have the same opportunity.

As this has quickly turned from a hobby into a business, I find it hard to “do it all”. From developing and editing content, to answering emails, to moderating comments, and also successfully managing my exploding Shaklee business, I must realize that in order for me to continue fueling my passion while nurturing and teaching my daughter and taking care of my family and home, something has to give…

I am now seeking 4 monthly contributors. Contributors who will deliver fresh new content every Friday. I am looking for 1 person from each “niche”: Natural Parenting, Wellness Coach, Home and DIY, and Organizing. Each contributor must fit in line with RATR’s mission and will have a phone interview with me beforehand! If you are a blogger and are interested, please shoot me an email ASAP!

Additionally, I am also opening up advertising space and accepting sponsorships for posts. You can email me for more information, rates, and for a copy of my media kit. I know a lot of you may be asking “why”? And there are lots of reasons. The first is that this takes a lot of time. While it is worth every minute of it, why not get paid for it? I know that’s a risky subject, but seriously. It takes at least 1-2 hours for every post. Add in the newsletter and groups, and it could very easily turn into a full time job. Additionally, I have to pay for my hosting, domain, and other behind the scenes people.

Essentially, I want to make this the best it can be for YOU! I want you to keep coming back, I want you to be inspired every time you visit. And with that, I need help!

Don’t worry: I will still be here. This will still be the same blog you know and love – only BETTER! Not only will you still be hearing from me 3-4 times a week, you will also be receiving new ideas from other fabulous women!

using facebook effectively to grow your business or blog

*disclaimer* I realize this is not my typical blog post, but it is something you may be seeing more of. While I blog to truly empower other women to find natural, simple solutions for balancing their home and entire lives, the simple gratification of doing it does not keep food on our table. In short, this blog is part of my brand and business and I hope that if you are also a mompreneur you will find this post and the others to come helpful!

First of all, it is an honor to be guest posting for Jess today! As you will learn as you read on, it is almost unbelievable, for I still think of myself as a total “newbie” when it comes to blogging and social media, but I grew so quickly that others are now calling me a social media “expert”! Carazy!

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Jaima and I blog at Ring Around the Rosies. I am also a business leader and marketer for Shaklee, the #1 Natural Nutrition Company in the United States! I started with Shaklee not only because I truly believe in their practices and love their products, but also as a way to monetize my blog and take some of the burden off of my husband as I have always wanted to be a stay at home mom. Thanks to social media and online marketing, I have been able to achieve that dream and support our family while I stay at home with our two year old princess!

So what is social media and why is it important? If you’re reading blogs, you are probably already familiar with what social media is. In short, social media is a rapidly developing way of communicating and interacting with others online using different platforms such as blogging, facebook, twitter, linked-in, etc.

Social media is key in advertising and growing your business and/or blog. In order to succeed, you have to be where your clients are, and they are on social media. Most likely they no longer use a phone book, and chances are few actually read newspapers or the flyers that come in the mail. They are on facebook…. please read the entire article at Allora Handmade today!
