Lift your spirits all day long with a simple and easy aromatherapy spray made with just water and essential oils. It is super easy and it really works! Spritz your surroundings when you need a mood-lift, lightly mist your linens to promote restful sleep, or spray a cloth a few times and toss into your dryer for day-long mood enhancement!
Certain essential oils have known effects on our mood – and many (including my favorites: lavender, peppermint, chamomile and sandalwood) promote a calming state. I am constantly seeking stress-busting and mood-enhancing strategies (aren’t all moms??), and I have found this to be an easy and effective way to immediately feel calm and less frazzled.
The recipe is beyond simple: water + essential oils. That’s it!
I use travel sized (2 oz.) spray bottles and fill them with distilled water (so they would last a while without mold or bacteria) and add 25+ drops of my favorite oils. Mix and match to your liking, and enjoy!!
