I started my Spring Detox last Monday (the 16) and I want to share it with you. It’s nothing too hard. There’s no harsh laxatives, starvation, or oil pulling required. This is a basic, clean eating detox. This is just what works for me. I am no dietician or expert.
I could tell my system and body was way out of whack. After a week of no sugar and strict gluten free, I already feel better. I have always had issues going to the bathroom. And when I travel, I simply do not go. No matter how many laxatives I take. We went on a 2 week cruise. I was miserable…
I can tell when my body is toxic. I am sluggish, my skin breaks out, I just don’t feel comfortable in my own body. And I’ve always loved a good cleanse. It is good to give your body a rest and replenishing. You should only do a strict cleanse 4 times a year. The change of seasons is a good reminder. That’s why I’ve named this Spring Detox!
Here’s the rundown: Strict, clean eating for 2 weeks. No processed foods. No added sugar. No gluten. Limited dairy (if any). No red meat (if any). Additional fiber supplements along with a liver detox and natural colonic.
Food: 2-3 fruits, unlimited veggies, 2-4 quarts filtered lemon water, 1 cinch, 1 grain, 1 fat, 3 proteins foods (nuts, beans), 1-2 natural green tea, 1 dairy (if any)
Supplements: metabolism boost, digestive, fiber, liver
No: processed or prepackaged foods, eating out, caffeine or alcohol, meat (except fish & possible organic chicken during week 2), sugar, gluten, no EXCUSES
Yes: detox baths, yoga (especially hot yoga), walking, stretching, focusing on YOU, massage, love making,
This is what works for me. I know a lot of people say NO dairy, but I would be setting myself up for failure if I said absolutely NO dairy because I use it for my protein shakes and I love smoothies. So, I am limiting myself to just 1 serving per day. And some people say no meat at all, but I may slowly add fish back this week (week 2).
Also, be sure you have a GREAT water purifier/filter. Most of our led and heavy metal poisoning come STRAIGHT from our tap! I use this one that I LOVE! It’s easy to clean and comes with a year worth of filters. It uses a solid block of carbon to filter that handles 80 gallons of water, twice as much as Brita® and Pur®3, and each filter is made from sustainable coconut shell carbon using a zero-emission process. It has an automatic meter that shows gallons filtered, so you know exactly when to replace your filter! I love it!

I repeated some of my meals and mixed them up for the rest of the week. Basically, lots of veggies, and cinch or organic beans for protein.
I have only lost 2 lb, which is very healthy, but more importantly, I feel better! I am not super bloated and my joints do not feel inflamed and burning like they had been (because I don’t always have the will power to resist the few gluten FULL snacks I give Elizabeth). I feel energized and GREAT!
This is no cure for anything, but just a great way to give your body some much needed tlc, clean your system, and replenish yourself this spring!
What are your favorite detox tips?

I am so glad you posted this Jaima! I love the Cinch protein shakes (already doing that), but I feel the need to jump start my body. I am eating too many other things that are making me feel sluggish. I need to get the liver complex and fiber. Do you still take your vitalizer too with all this? I am assuming yes? I am going to try this!
I just came across your blog and so far I am enjoying what I'm reading. I've never heard of these products, but I hope to one day try them out. This detox challenge sounds like something I should try. I am lacking energy and trying to keep up my with 2 year old son. I can't wait to read more of your posts.
So glad you're here. It really does make a big difference.
