Wow! I received a lot of great feedback from Part 1: My Shaklee Story, thank you! I am glad that you enjoyed it! Today, I am going to share some history and facts about Shaklee as a Company. There is a lot more to Shaklee than the famous Basic H that I always talking about. I am really excited about this post because I love sharing Shaklee with others!
I am proud to be part of Shaklee and I firmly believe that you should know the background about a company and what it stands for before you start using it and/or representing it!!!
Warning: Longest post EVER…I am a talker and struggle with what all to say, but there is just so much great info to give you!
What is Shaklee Corporation?
Shaklee is the number one natural nutrition company in the U.S. (which is why it always surprises me when people haven’t heard of it), carrying 4 different lines of products: nutrition, health and beauty, get clean, and a line of baby care items. We have been making people healthier for over 55 years. And we’ve made it part of our job to make the planet healthier along the way.
We were doing it back when green was just a color and biodegradable was barely a word. In fact, as early as 1960, we made one of the first biodegradable household cleaners ever; and Basic H is the same today as it was back then!

We were founded by Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee. In 1915 he created “Vitalized Minerals”, one of the first multivitamins in the world. When he founded Shaklee Corporation in 1956, he helped pioneer both the nutritional supplement industry and a distribution method that rewards word-of-mouth referrals.

Shaklee is Family!
Shaklee means spending more time with YOUR family. It is my dream, that eventually, Andrew and I will be able to both work from home and travel as a family together. I know it can happen, because I’ve seen it happen.
It also means forming a different family. A family of team members. I seriously have the most amazing group of ladies (and even a handful of great men) that I work with! We all work very well together, though we are all over the country. We have meetings weekly and our own personal online “office” (thank you, facebook) where we are always on sharing ideas, advice, and motivating each other like a family does!
